Anti-Child Labour Day Observance

LES Multiversity/Loyola Extension Services (LES).
LES Multiversity/Loyola Extension Services (LES) and Loyola College of Social Sciences (LCSS) in collaboration with the NSS HS Palode, a remote village school, conducted a day long awareness raising programme on Child Protection as the anti-child labour day observance.
CHILDLINE Thiruvananthapuram supported the programme. Sanchari Thiruvanathpauram (an online community of travellers) raised study materials for all the students of the school and distributed them through childline. The program was inaugurated by the students of NSS HS school in the presence of HM, Smt. Rasmi, by lighting the lamp.
CHILDLINE District Cordinator and Chief programme co-ordinator, Mr. Jobi Kondoor , school teachers , PTA reprentatives among others were present and facilitated the gathering. Drawing competition, essay writing, and tableau, etc., with the idea of eradication of Child Labour in India made the children aware of ill effect of Child Labour. The 13 members volunteers team from LES Balamithra Project led the sessions and competitions. The school authorities expressed much gratitude to the Balamithra Project.
